LUCA TIRONZELLI & ENRICO BIANCHI

catalogue: J.L.BORGES – TRE FINZIONI, TRITTICO BORGHESIANO

Luca Tironzelli

He was born in Perugia in 1971. A former musician, violinist and composer, he is now an actor. He acts for the love of it, out of an urge to share emotions and touch people’s hearts. He started his career as a violinist very young in collaboration with a number of chamber ensambles, string and symphonic orchestras. For over two decades he has been a member of the string orchestra Symphonia Perusina and subsequently I Solisti di Perugia. Some of his compositions have been performed at Sagra Musicale Umbra, Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte in Montepulciano, and the Acquario Romano. He also composed the music for some theatre plays.

In 2004 he began acting under the guidance and direction of Luciano Falcinelli as a natural broadening of his artistic interests. That was a turning point of his life. Since then, he has been performing in several plays. In 2008 he decided to dedicate his artistic life to the rare and precious niche of melodramas and musical monologues. His first musical monologue, Platero and I by J. R. Jimenez, has been put on stage with the guitarist Sandro Lazzeri hundreds of times across Italy as well as in Albania and, in 2011, an english version was presented in Chicago, USA.

Other musical monologues of him are The animal farm based on Orwell’s novel and Demian by H. Hesse, both of them performed along with ghuitarist and singer Michele Rosati.

Luca is the founder of the artistic project Nuovi Aedi whose mission is to promote and revive melodrama as an art form. Following this call he was several times on stage performing Enoch Arden by Strauss – Tennyson, together with the pianist and philosopher Pietro De Luigi; L’Arlesiénne by Daudet – Bizet with Orchestra and Coro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. With the pianist and composer Enrico Bianchi he created the current melologue Trittico Borgesiano out of three Borges’ stories. Another melologue was created out of Rilke’s Orpheus Sonnets together with the composer Paolo Ceccarini and the pianist Pietro De Luigi. He collaborates with the guitarist, author and painter, Walter Salin. He shares the stage with SatorDuo in several poetry recitals and in another musical monologue Messenger of Peace by R. Hutmacher. His repertoire includes Liszt’s Melodramas, Strawinsky’s Historire du Soldat, and other melologues.
